Hi, I’m Lexi Lampner.
I’m an educator, essay coach, tutor, and writer. Before I came back to my literary roots, I worked in technology and experienced the modern corporate landscape. What I am certain of is that storytelling has never been more important than it is today.
Through coaching many high school and college students to get into college and graduate programs, I discovered something interesting: a compelling essay makes you someone admissions officers want to see win. My coaching process works for writing killer essays, and it works to establish your personal story and narrative arc.
I graduated from the University of Florida in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. My work has been published in Forbes, Tech Crunch, Inc., The Spectator, 18Forty, Jew in The City, At The Well, Florida Bards, TEA Literary Magazine, and more. I publish weekly essays on Substack.
My Approach
My approach is curiosity-driven. I ask surprising questions to unearth memories, experiences, and insights.
You speak freely as I take meticulous notes and pose follow-up questions.
Together we brainstorm, and I provide frameworks for essay or narrative outlines.
You work on the first draft.
We meet and edit as needed. If you like, we can also work asynchronously to accommodate your busy schedule — I’m available over text.
We iterate and finalize until it’s an impressive, authentic final product that attracts admissions officers and other readers — but most importantly, yourself.
College and Graduate Essays
Crystallize who you are, the moments that made you, and why you’re a strong fit for your dream school.
Narrative Coaching
Build confidence and gain clarity by identifying your character, motivators, stories, goals, and overall narrative arc. The answers are inside you. It’s time you see them in black and white to finally recognize your abilities and story.
